Just an ordinary week....

Well, after having a few busy weeks, we rather enjoyed a quiet week this past week. We didn't have anywhere we had to go, except for church on Wed. night, so we just stayed home and got lots of learning in! I was able to get some things caught up that had gotten behind and of course, did the usual stuff...laundry, cleaning, being a mama.... Here are some pics of our week.

Last Sunday evening, Ian wanted to play a game on the computer. It amazes me how young they can learn to use a computer. He was playing a Tonka truck game. Notice the thumb on his lip..he was in serious thought!

Early in the week the girls started a new lapbook for science. They are working on a unit on the human body. It has been a fun one!

Ian has also been asking for schoolwork so I started his first lapbook too. He is doing one all about the farm!! He is loving it!

Aaron started a new one this week as well. He is doing one on the civil war for history.

One night, I found Momo and Maggie crashed out together like this....hahah

Another day of the human body lapbook. This day they learned about the cardiovascular system. Here they were taking their pulse at a resting rate.

Then they had to march in place and take it again....

next was jumping jacks.......

After that they had to go outside and run around the house a couple times!!
Here is Ian working on his farm lapbook for day 2.

Notice he had to have his Schleich cow and horse there on the table to help him.

Lastly, here are a couple pics of the slavery lapbook Aaron finished a couple weeks ago.

The weekend has been fairly quiet. Saturday morning, Randy went into work for a bit. When he got home, Kristen went over to a friend's to play, Morgan was playing outside and the boys and I went out to get groceries. Today, after a relaxing morning, we rode out to see what was going on at my aunt and uncle's new hunting lodge. It is a lot of fun out there with lots of activities to do. We were just looking today and Uncle Nicky took us out riding around on a golf cart to see everything, but I am sure we will be heading out there to "play" some day soon. Here is the link to their new place http://www.savannahriverpreserve.com/index.html. We stopped by to visit Mema ( my grandmother) when we left there and then came home to just hang out for the rest of the night. It was really nice to have such a laid back kind of weekend and the weather was perfect too!! Here are just a couple pics of Momo, Maggie and Ian tonight.

Tomorrow, starts a new week and it is looking like it will be a good one! We are heading out on another field trip tomorrow afternoon and are excited that Lil'Rob will be joining us again! Then on Wednesday, we will start back at coop for our third and final session for this year! Be watching for pics tomorrow or Tuesday from the field trip!
