Trying to Catch Up Again...Gran Julie's Birthday and Odds-n-Ends

I hope I can remember everything from the past few weeks. It has been busy around here as usual. We have had lots of fun and I just haven't stopped long enough to update here. This is not going to be in exact order but hopefully, it will be pretty close!!

Aaron got the idea for this picture from our youth scavenger hunt so he wanted to do it alone. Weird!!

Ian and Morgan had fun one night playing with a big piece of cardboard, tape, and stickers!!

Momo was wearing a stuffed kitty/pillow as a hat. I just love how her freckles and blue eyes look in this picture.

In the midst of all the fun, we have been getting school work done as well. Here is Kristen placing some cards on our history timeline.

Aaron working on his math.

Momo was coloring the time line cards.

....Then she placed her cards on too.

Jan. 22nd was our Gran Julie's birthday. We had her over for a yummy dinner of low country boil. While Randy was doing the cooking, Morgan read a story for Gran Julie out of her language arts reader.

I was working on a crocheted baby blanket.

Randy working hard cooking for us!! The kids had decorated with balloons for the occasion.

After we ate, we played a game of Scrabble and then the kids gave Gran Julie her gift.

Then they lit the candles on her cake and sang Happy Birthday!!

Everyone shared in the licking of the candles!!

It was a great night and we are so blessed to have Gran Julie as part of our family!! We love her dearly.

Momo was having a good time playing Randy's guitar one night.

I finally finished crocheting the blanket for my cousin's new baby.

The kids had some fun with friends one Sunday afternoon. They were playing ultimate Frisbee.

Ian played baseball with Randy.

Kristen, Olivia and Ian played with some Oobleck!!

MMMMMMMMM!!!

Momo traced and then colored a picture of King Tut for history.

This was her spelling words for LLATL. This one only has 4 words but she also does another spelling book. Her handwriting is improving.

Aaron was working on an art lesson but soon, everyone wanted to try it out with him. They "painted" pictures using bleach.

They spent about an hour working on that. Then it was time for lunch.....or....home ec!!

Kristen decided she was going to do "make up art" so she used Momo as her "canvas"!!

Morgan working on some more history. Here she is doing her memory cards.

Aaron has really been enjoying the book he started reading. He has posted about it on his blog. I think he highly reccomends this book. It is called "I Kissed Dating Goodbye".

Kristen was working on an activity for history.

Ian having some creative play time!!

That will do it for this post!!! There is lots more to come so stay tuned!!
