Magnolia Springs State Park

After picking Aaron and Kristen up from their camping trip yesterday, we stopped at Magnolia Springs State Park on the way home. It is always fun to watch the turtles and look in the little aquarium. The aquarium isn't huge, it is just a one room deal but they have lots of fish that are found locally in the rivers and ponds. We walked on one of the nature trails and then it started getting really dark and thundering. Ian was getting scared so we got in the car and just rode around the park for a bit while the clouds moved away. Then when it was starting to clear up we let the kids play on the playground before heading home. On the way home we hit some really heavy rain but then once home, we had a big storm. Our neighbors actually got a direct hit from lightening and we all lost power. Ours was only out for about an hour, but they didn't get power back unitl around 2:30AM!! Anyway, here are lots of pics of course!!

Look up in the top of this one, you can see the little alligator and turtles!
