Week 2 at Eagle Star Academy and a Band Reunion!

There has been lots of learning going on at Eagle Star Academy. We are all back into the swing of things and it is going great. Morgan is enjoying her language arts so far. She even managed to convince Aaron and Kristen to join her one day last week to play a game of vowel bingo!


Ian's theme for the week was jungle and he has had a blast learning jungle songs such as "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" and " Five Little Monkeys Swinging in A Tree". Here he was pretending to be on a jungle hunt!

Looks like his hunt was a success! He caught something.....or should I say someone!

Kristen helped Ian make some "Jungle Juice" (aka. Kool-Aid) one afternoon. We drank jungle juice and had popcorn while watching The Jungle Book Movie together!

Just some fun! They lined dominoes up along my foot board and then watched them fall over!


One of our history lessons was about Noah and The Ark. Morgan and Ian played animal memory match to remind them that Noah took the animals on the ark in pairs!

Kristen worked on some questions about the Noah's Ark story. She was looking in the Bible for her answers.

Ian was practicing his scissor skills and made a nice "green" ( his color for the week) collage!

Kristen was working on her Extreme Weather Lapbook.

Momo had to draw a picture about when God protected David from the bear while he was shepherding his sheep. Isn't her bear great?

Aaron really is around and doing school. Most of his work is done on the computer. He was working on his math out with us one afternoon though.



We ended the week with a bang!! Randy had made arrangements to have a reunion with one of his old bands! These guys haven't played together in over 30 years!! Besides the car trouble we had which made us late getting there, we had a blast!!

You may remember a few months back, Aaron tried on one of Randy's old outfits. Well, he took it with us and surprised everyone. Here he is with one of our good friends, Jeff.

He walked through the door in the middle of a song and started dancing!!





That was definitely one of the big hits for the night! Here he is getting some lovin' from Mrs. Cheryl.
