I think it was week 13 at least, I am loosing track of the week numbers now. Anyhow, we had a GREAT field trip this past Wednesday. We visited Poppell Farm . I took way too many pictures as usual but I just couldn't help myself. There were lots of neat animals to see and pet and lots of farm fun too!! The weather was great and we were with an awesome group of friends!! Here is our group waiting to get started after getting our tickets.
Our first stop was the animals!! Here we were learning about different types of chickens.
Aaron and his girlfriend, Heather. She is a new to homeschooling and this was her first homeschool field trip!
Momo and Ian looking at the bunnies.
The smiling cows!
Llama!
Ian was thrilled to see "Wilbur" there! Actually, the pigs names were
AbraHAM and
LINKon!
Chocolate and Vanilla!
Momo meeting Elvis the donkey!! We all LOVED Elvis!
Isn't he CUTE?!
Heather and Elvis!
Aaron and Elvis!!
Kristen and Elvis!
Aaron loves giving Stephanie a hard time.
Momo and her friend, Thad, visiting the goats.
This was a lot of fun!! The goats go up and across this wooden bridge. There are little cranks down below that the kids can turn to send a can of with food up to the goats. When the can reaches the top, the goats here the bell and know food is coming!
Ian was the first to try the crank!
Next we went to a little "classroom" to learn about honey and bee farming. We also got to taste some flavored honey.
Adam, Sarah Beth, Ian, Tyler,
Cade and Aaron in the back.
Ian and Thad decided to stop in with the goats for a minute before going to the next activity.
