This is an old post from one of our old blogs. I thought I should copy and paste this one here since it was the beginning of our summer break! We went to see the Savannah Sand Gnats on May 14th.
Monday night we went to see a ball game. The team has a reading program for students that we participated in along with our coop group. The kids all got free tickets for reading and then the parents were able to purchase tickets at half price. Before the game, the kids got to parade around the field, while they announced on the speaker who they were. It was lots of fun and the kids thought it was really cool to go on the field and see themselves up on the huge video screen of the scoreboard. While we were waiting to go onto the field, the team mascot, a giant sand gnat, came around to visit us. I was so surprised that Ian LOVED the mascot!! I thought he would have been afraid of him. Randy had the camera and but he thought I had it so we didn't get very many pictures. We did get a couple though during the game.
