Some school work and some family fun!!

In the midst of the fun and business, we have also been plugging along with lessons. Here is Aaron in his usual spot.....at the computer. He was working on his biology.

While Kristen worked on her math lesson beside him.

Momo has been learning about different animals and how unique and special each one is. This lesson was about how some animals (beavers) have webbed feet. She did a little activity to see how the webbing helps in swimming. First, she moved her open hand through water in the sink.

Then she put her hand in a plastic bag and moved it through the water to see how she could move the water better having "webbing" between her fingers.

Ian also did some pages in one of his workbooks.

Here is Momo reading a story in one of her readers. We are really enjoying the stories in these readers.

That Thursday night, Morgan had pulled out a package of pipe cleaners she got in her craft box at Christmas. One thing lead to another...and soon we had some crazy fun...the whole family got involved in!! Here is the start of things..... Randy and I started putting the pipe cleaners in Morgan's hair....

When Ian saw Momo, he wanted in on it too....

Then along came Kristen so we decorated her.....

Of course then, it was Mama's turn for a new "do"!

Aaron has the best hair for pipe cleaners....although....getting them out was another story....haha. It wasn't too bad though.

Papa, on the other hand....too a little more creativity!!

Papa was a helicopter head!!

I meant it when I said the whole family was in on it....Kristen decorated Maggie too!!

Time for some family portraits!!!

We had so much fun and the best part was that is wasn't planned at all....it just happened.

Kristen also finished up her Geography lapbook. Here are the finished pictures.

It was a great week!! Last week I somehow didn't take any pictures!! We were busy all week and it went by so fast. We had coop, errands, band practices, Brownie meeting, small group, church activities, prepared for a baby shower, shopping, band gigs, fun, school and just life!!

Another project in woodworking and other coop pics.

Morgan was in a PE class at the same time as our woodworking class so I snapped a couple pictures of them playing Red Rover.

The boys in the woodworking class finished up their second projects a couple weeks ago( yes, I am just now posting pics). They made little table bookcases this time. Here they are putting the stain/varnish on.

Some of the cases drying in the sun.

The boys hanging out waiting for the next class to start. The matching tee shirts are the yearbook class shirts.

They are just so cool!!

Aaron as usual...doing some kind of stunt!! Here he is jumping over Tyler's head!!

Ian and Cade heading to lunch together.

The cool kids again during lunch. A couple of the boys (Aaron included) like to bring their guitars to play together at lunch break.

Here are the kids in my science experiments class. We made butter this day. They were just beginning to shake......

and more shaking....they decided doing jumping jacks would make the shaking go faster....

It was a really nice day so we took our shaking outside. Here is Kristen showing off her butter!!

We found some crackers in the kitchen and enjoyed the fruits.....errr...butter of our shaking labor!! YUMMY!!
Here are Tyler and Micah enjoying theirs.

We finished up coop for the winter term and are now on break until March when we will start the last term for this year!!

Happy Birthday Momo and OOBLECK Fun!!!

First of all.......Happy Birthday Momo Monkey!!! My baby girl is six years old today!! That takes two hands now!!! Morgan is so special to us. She is unique in so many ways. She definitely has a mind of her own and I know as she grows that will be a great thing. Morgan has a smile that brings sunshine to the darkest of days and her freckles and crystal blue eyes will melt your heart. It is so amazing to watch her change into a young girl as she leaves the preschool days behind.

Momo had a good day even though we didn't do anything really exciting since her party was Saturday but she got lots of extra hugs and kisses. We had a lazy morning and then got our school work done this afternoon. Aaron made a yummy ravioli for lunch. When Randy got home we gave Momo a few gifts we had saved for today. She invited Sara over to watch her open them. Not long after that, Gran Julie came by to visit and she brought Momo so really neat gifts too. She gave Morgan a tie dye kit that we can't wait to do one afternoon soon. Here are a few pics of Momo opening her gifts today.....

Aaron giving the birthday girl a ride.

reading a card....

Playing with Sara with her new High School Musical golf cart and Ashley Tinsdale doll.

I am planning to make OOBLECK for my science experiments class at coop tomorrow. I made some this evening to try it out......as you can see, Ian, Kristen and Momo really enjoyed playing with it!!

It has been a fun day. Happy Birthday my Momo Monkey. I love you lots of bunches. Keep on smiling sweetie!!
