Bubblology!!

Tuesday was a fun day!! We decided to start a lapbook/science unit all about bubbles!! There are several bubble solutions we had to make that need to sit for a few days so, that is what we started with.

Kristen mixing up one of the solutions and Morgan rinsing a jug for another one.

After we had the bubbles mixed, the kids made bubble prints! They each made a picture to keep and also a post card to mail to someone!! Keep your eyes on your mailboxes as some of you reading may get a bubble postcard! This was done with a mixture of dish detergent and tempera paint.

The next activity was making bubbly punch to drink!! Here they are with all the ingredients....

Pouring in the frozen apple juice!

Stirring!
and Drinking it all up!! YUMMY!

Here is Momo doing a little handwriting and cutting out some of the pieces for the lapbook.

Be watching for lots more bubble fun coming soon!! Our bubble solutions should be ready to go tomorrow!! Oh yeah....SSHHHHH!! Don't tell my kids they are learning still even though it is summer!!

Monday fun...

Monday was a very busy day. It started out getting Aaron off to camp for the week. He went to a Youth Camp in Tenn. He is having an amazing time!! Anyway, he had to be at the church and ready to leave at 5:30am Monday morning. After dropping him off, we came back home and went back to sleep for a bit. At 10, I took Kristen, Morgan, Ian and Sara to the library for the summer reading kickoff party. They had a few displays set up where the kids learned about firetrucks, coastal wildlife and mosquito control. Then we went inside to sign up for summer reading, played games, made some crafts and of course checked out a few books. It was then time to run home to drop Sara off and pick Randy up. We ate a quick lunch and left to go help Robert get his truck fixed. While Randy and Robert were out getting truck parts, the girls got to ride one of the horses. Ian and Lil' Rob just played. The guys got the truck fixed and we headed home. On the way home, we stopped by to see Johnny and Trey for a minute. By the time we made it home, we were all TIRED!!

Ian was in his glory playing on the big firetruck!!

All the kids inside the firetruck!

Kristen on the horse and Linzy guiding.

Momo's turn....Aunt Dawn was leading now.

Feeding the horses....

A long but nice day!

Sunday evening

Randy and the kids spent a good bit of the day next door at the pool Sunday. I had to go to a meeting at church for VBS. After I got home I walked over to the pool with them for a bit. Just a few pics of the kids having fun.
